Had some experience with CenterForce products when I was raceing my Ranger. Tried there CenterForce-2, but couldn't get it to last with heavy high rpm launches. Then I changed over to a Dual Friction set, and that made all the difference. Made lots of 4000 rpm side stepping the clutch starts, with little wear to the disk. I always had the flywheel resurfaced with each new disk thou. The down side is Fords hyd. throw out bearing, its junk. Went through 6 of them in 180000 miles. Its not the bearing its self that failed, its the poorly designed hyd. assembley. They ran the hyd. fluid line for the slave cylinder to close to the exhaust pipe. The fluid boils, and over time wears the slave out. Of course the heat from the slipping clutch when raceing isn't helping any eather. Try wraping the line with a heat reflecting tape. Good Luck _________________ 84 Bronco II, Built C5 Trans. 4.0 with NOS. I ran nothing but Ford OE replacement clutches and slaves. In 135Kmiles I was only on my 3rd clutch when the new engine went in. Clutch number 4 only lasted 1.1 passes due to first gear not being able to hold close to 500ftlbs of torque. I used an oe clutch for about a year of daily driving and 2 full years of racing, and it was still in pretty good shape when I pulled the engine. It was the same clutch that held when I broke the axle.

Iam glad some body has had some good use from the stock slave clinder. The next time you get back in the pits from a run, reach down the fire wall and touch the nylon fluid line for the slave. Be carefull, it runs about 190 to 240. I will admit, that 33" tires and 4:56 gears do put a big load on every thing in the drive train. But the old rule, Heat Kills, still stands. _________________ 84 Bronco II, Built C5 Trans. 4.0 with NOS.
